Energy Savings

We are experts in Energy Management and conservation and can help assist you in reducing your energy use. We are working with state governments of Wyoming and Utah to obtain all of the permits and training to assist home owners and businesses to reduce carbon footprints. All of us can see the easy to fix items in the house that contribute to higher energy use- leaking weather strips, air holes around doors, windows etc. In doing an energy audit we take the “whole house” approach” to identify all the sources of energy loss. In the basement there may be gaps in the seal from the foundation to the floor joists in unfinished rooms or utility areas. Is the furnace working correctly or perhaps of lower efficiency? How is the insulation in crawl spaces if you don’t have a basement all of these are potential spots for energy saving. So the result of a home energy audit is to develop a list of where the problems are and decide which ones are the ones to focus on- which ones will provide YOU with the best return for your investment.

This is a good example of potential energy and comfort savings available for older homes.  In the winter warm air raises and leaks out the roof and attic.  This creates "cold rooms" and drafts that make your home uncomfortable and more costly to keep comfortable.  No need to heat the outside.
